Linear TextLife itself is about rethinking, from the age of five preschool till now high school, all I've done is rethink. I rethink all the time when I'm at school , work, home,etc... Life has changed so much, i went from writing the abc's to writing words,to sentences,to essays. Things just improve and improve.In preschool I would always have to write in pencil, but once i hit junior high i had to use a pen, which was so different to me.As time goes by things change so much. The way technology can change people's lives is incredible. Threw out watching the video,reading the article "Rethink Schools" and interviewing Gene I've have learned so much about how everyday people sit & rethink. As i saw the video Digital Text, I saw have things change so much. Technology is crazy. By watching this video it taught me that We , us people are the machines, we are the technology because without us , there wouldn't b any inventions or ideas. In the video there were many application names such ass "Way back Machines". Most early websites were written in html , html was designed to define the structure of a web document. in this video you can see how digital text is so different,Its more flexible, movable ,so easy to just write and erase.In this video you can see the difference of things back then till now. Its has change so much. This video also teaches many things that I didn't know or imagine , for example it tells us how So in the article "Rethink Schools" it tells you how schools have changed.Things have improved so much. A lot of attention has been paid to improving standards,assessments,etc... compare to how kids were taught back then is oh so different.they have changed the class rooms, books, paper, everything.classrooms were just plain a small little room with little desks & chairs. Now classrooms are designed and i agree that these designs do make a difference in learning. A physical environment does matter. Also community, interaction and gathering and sharing of information helps students learn.Also class time is more elastic. Like instead of teaching one subject per day,teachers need the flexibility of bigger and more adjustable time slots to truly impact learning. Back in time teachers would teach a subject per day, now time is divided 2 teach different subjects in just one day. People just keep rethinking on ways 2 improve society. So as I interview Gene my math teacher he told me from his point of view how he has rethink alot of the things he has done. With communicating Gene told me he rethinks the way 2 communicate with people all the time. He says he has 2 have a good compusure with certain people, because many people understand in different ways good and bad. Gene also says with business he has learn to rethink alot because for example stock markets are easy ways 2 make money but its also a way 2 loose money.Gene says he has 2 see the stock first and be sure in his mind that the correct product is there. Also with government Gene says he has had to rethink alot. he says before he thought government was great, but now he see's the governemtn dont always do as they say.So now he see's that you could just never trust the government because the result wont always be what you expect. Also Gene says that he has also had to rethink with banking, in order for him to take a credit card , he has to make sure he really needs it and would b able 2 pay it back. Rethinking is part of everyone's life everyday. You rethink your lifeee all the timee , as to whats wrong whats right what you could've changee, what you can change, what would make you happy , how can things jus be better. Me myself i rethink alot about my life and how things change , things will always keep changing.
